The MBSR program is developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn to meet and manage physiological and psychological stress. The program provides a foundation of various meditation techniques to support health and balance in life.

Mindfulness is not a method but a way of being. The MBSR program supports this way of being. Mindfulness is a conscious observing and accepting of what is happening in the present moment. Instead of being pulled away by e.g. pain sensations, anxiety and disaster thoughts you learn to identify more as a participating observer of thoughts, feelings and of what feels in your body. This is facilitated by meditation in which one exercises the ability to direct and maintain attention.

Jon Kabat-Zinn and the MBSR program have inspired many followers and we provide the original program in MBSR.

Is this course for you?

The program is designed for those experiencing physical or psychological stress in work or family life. You may have many different types of physical symptoms. You want to feel better and more balanced or you feel bad and would like the tools to feel better

The MBSR program is today evidence-based. Over a thousand scientific studies worldwide describe the benefits of the program in various ways to effectively reduce stress, regulate symptoms and create emotional balance.

Course intention

In the program you will learn how to directly relate to whatever is happening in your life and to take responsibility for it. Throughout the program you will be consciously and systematically working with your own stress, pain and illness – and the challenges and demands of your everyday life. You will discover the possibility to do something for yourself that no one else can do for you.

Mindfulness isn’t about something you have to “get” or acquire. Mindfulness is already present within you like a deep internal resource available and patiently waiting to be cultivated and used in the service of learning, growing, and healing.

Includes: 8 weekly group classes & a wholeday

Group size: usually 8-24 participants – less to make this English course possible in Stockholm

Prerequiste: Attended an Orientations session in MBSR
